A Message from the President, Bruce Randall

In late September, Craig Nielson and I spent some time at the 2nd Annual National Court Collections Conference (NCCC) in Las Vegas, Nevada that brought together approximately 200 professionals from the court industry.  For those of you who don’t know, this is the only Conference that is put on from a national perspective devoted to court debt collection.

The concept of a national venue with a sole focus for creating better standards for debt collection is a very exciting. It provides a greater collective opinion in viewing different avenues of how courts can collect their debt. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to network with people from all types of courts and talk in detail regarding questions, concerns, and experiences. RevQ was invited to present on “Effective Use Of Information Technology”, in which we discussed current technology trends in government debt collection, and how government entities are deploying technology to improve and enhance their operations.

RevQ also attended the California Revenue Officers Association (CROA) conference in Concord, California in early October. The CROA was a major contributor in the development of the  Government Collectors Association of Texas (GCAT), which  subsequently developed the NCCC. This conference was also valuable to those in attendance regarding government collection development.

These conferences are fully vested in helping governments better understand the importance of debt collection in their industry, and educate the attendees on what governments can do better in terms of collections. Improved government collections make good fiscal sense, and provide much needed relief for important government programs.

I, along with the rest of the team at RevQ look forward to continuing to support these conferences and provide information to enhance and increase government collections efforts.

Sincerely,

Bruce Randall
President, RevQ
